Website privacy.

This notice describes the dochush.com website. The DocHush desktop app is covered in its own section below.

Your documents

The free PDF redaction checker processes the file you choose entirely in your browser; nothing about the file, your search terms or the result is sent to us or stored. Elsewhere this website has no PDF upload or processing function, and document illustrations use fictional information. The website code does not request access to your files or clipboard unless you choose a file for the checker.

Website requests

Your browser requests pages, scripts, fonts and images from the hosting service. The service receives the information needed to serve those requests, such as the requested address and network information. Cloudflare hosts this website and the installer downloads, and provides the database described below. We do not use advertising trackers, cookies or browser storage.

Anonymous page counts

We count page views by day, page, entry page and marketing source to understand which information is useful. These counts contain no email addresses, visitor identifiers or stored IP addresses. We use the referring website’s hostname and simple campaign labels, not its full address. Marketing labels may follow internal links in the URL. We respect Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals by disabling these counts.

Website performance

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand page loading speed, responsiveness and visual stability, so we can improve this website. Performance measurement is enabled for visitors outside the European Union. It does not use cookies or browser storage to track you across websites. See Cloudflare's Web Analytics information for details.

Performance measurement is disabled on the PDF redaction checker and for browsers that send a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control opt-out signal with page requests. It does not collect your PDF files, search terms or checking results.

External links

Guides link to official sources. Following an external link opens another provider’s website, where that provider’s privacy practices apply.

Email waitlist (closed)

Before DocHush launched, the homepage offered an email waitlist. It is now closed and no longer accepts addresses. For the people who joined, we keep the email, signup time, form location, entry page and marketing source in Cloudflare D1 to email them about the DocHush launch, as the signup described. We do not sell this list or store signup IP addresses. You can request removal at any time by emailing support@dochush.com.

The DocHush desktop app

The app opens, scans, redacts and checks your PDFs on your computer and does not upload them. Accounts, checkout and subscriptions are provided by iToolPaw; its privacy policy and terms and conditions apply to your account and purchase information. The app checks downloads.dochush.com for updates once a day; that request does not include your account or document details.

For privacy questions about this website, the app or the closed waitlist, contact support@dochush.com.
